These truths converged in 1968, when antipoverty demonstrators staged a six-week campaign on \u201cAmerica\u2019s front yard.\u201d\u009d The Smithsonian had a front seat to \u201cResurrection City, USA,\u201d\u009d the protesters\u2019 name for their encampment.
