Admitting that news of a missionary bishop may seem to some \u2018a threat to their hopes\u2019 of \u2018reform\u2019 within their European provinces they explained that \u2018the complexity of the current situation in Europe does not admit of a single solution\u2019.<\/p>\n

Gafcon UK \u2018welcomed\u2019 the decision to consecrate a missionary bishop, saying that \u2018many faithful clergy and lay people\u2019 in the Church of England, the Scottish Episcopal Church and the Church in Wales feel \u2018increasing concern\u2019 about the \u2018revisionist trajectory\u2019 of these Churches.<\/p>\n
The Most Rev David Chillingworth, Bishop of St Andrews, Dunkeld & Dunblane and Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, said that the news that Gafcon intends to send a missionary bishop to Britain is \u2018regrettable\u2019.<\/p>\n
