Westberg&#8217;s most recent book was\u00a0<i>Renewing Moral Theology: Christian Ethics as Action, Character and Grace<\/i>\u00a0(InterVarsity Press, 2015).\u00a0 He co-authored\u00a0<i>Preaching the Lectionary<\/i>\u00a0(3rd ed.; Liturgical Press, 2006) with the late Professor Reginald Fuller.<\/p>\n<p>It was exceedingly gratifying to have served as Fr. Westberg&#8217;s dean for ten and colleague at Nashotah House for twelve years.\u00a0 Dan had a brilliant mind and keen sense of humor.\u00a0 He had a quiet demeanor&#8211;a gentle man and a gentleman.\u00a0 As a professor, he was a friend and mentor who spent time with his students and truly cared about their spiritual as well as their intellectual formation.\u00a0 But, above all, he was a godly man who truly lived the faith he proclaimed.\u00a0 Dan&#8217;s tragic death is a great loss for Nashotah House.\u00a0 He will be missed by all who knew him, but especially by his wife Lisa, his father, a brother and three sisters, four adult children, and three grandchildren who survive him.<\/p>\n<p>We commend our brother into the loving arms of God.\u00a0 May he rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon him.\u00a0 Our prayers go out for Lisa and Dan&#8217;s family.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/toalltheworld.blogspot.com\/2017\/10\/nashotah-house-announces-passing-of.html\">Read it all<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Daniel Westberg, Professor of Ethics and Moral Theology at Nashotah House, RIP https:\/\/t.co\/3K2tC55KLE #death #theology #education pic.twitter.com\/CIXfoFSTod \u2014 Kendall Harmon (@KendallHarmon6) October 20, 2017 Fr.
