For many kids, that includes sexting\u2014the sharing of sexual messages, images or videos\u2014according to a\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/jamanetwork.com\/journals\/jamapediatrics\/fullarticle\/10.1001\/jamapediatrics.2017.5314\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">new study.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The new report, published in\u00a0<em>JAMA Pediatrics,<\/em>\u00a0analyzed 39 studies with a total of about 10,300 young men and women under age 18. It found that sexting has become increasingly more common in recent years. Though the majority of teenagers don\u2019t report sexting, 15% of teens say they send sexts and 27% receive them.
