While the prospect of revising the Book of Common Prayer looms large over the upcoming General Convention, the Standing Committee on Liturgy and Music has also considered a number of other parts of the Episcopal Church\u2019s worship life.<\/p>\n

Episcopal News Service\u00a0has written about the committee\u2019s invitation<\/a>\u00a0to the church to consider how to revise the prayer book, and it\u00a0has written about<\/a>\u00a0the committee\u2019s proposed remedy to what it calls a \u201csituation of great confusion\u201d over the church\u2019s calendar of saints.<\/p>\n Below is a summary of the rest the SCLM\u2019s work and recommendations.<\/p>\n \u201cI am exceedingly proud of the SCLM\u2019s work this past triennium. Because the projects we received were mostly unfunded, the SCLM chose the scope of our work very carefully,\u201d the Rev. Devon Anderson, SCLM\u2019s chair, told Episcopal News Service. \u201cWe were determined to send complete, thoughtful and quality work back to General Convention.
