A recent study found that the average user would have to be paid $1,000 to $2,000 to <a class=\"css-1g7m0tk\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/journals.plos.org\/plosone\/article?id=10.1371\/journal.pone.0207101\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">be pried away for a year<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1ygdjhk evys1bk0\">So what happens if you actually do quit? <a class=\"css-1g7m0tk\" title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/web.stanford.edu\/~gentzkow\/research\/facebook.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A new study<\/a>, the most comprehensive to date, offers a preview.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-1ygdjhk evys1bk0\">Expect the consequences to be fairly immediate: More in-person time with friends and family. Less political knowledge, but also less partisan fever. A small bump in one\u2019s daily moods and life satisfaction.
