According to a church news release posted <a class=\"css-1g7m0tk\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/prayforearlyrain\/?__tn__=%2Cd%2CP-R&amp;eid=ARDCqTwK44v6h2NST4T7h3FZ2ts_OdsFJcjwGkOX9TksXLnibns9ED2JC6UXotG1_pzpZq6htT8a2ax7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">on the church\u2019s Facebook page<\/a>, Ms. Jiang was reunited with the couple\u2019s son, Shuya, who had been living without his parents since they were detained on Dec. 9.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-exrw3m evys1bk0\">News of the release of Ms. Jiang and another church member was confirmed by a human rights lawyer familiar with the case, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of government retribution.<\/p>\n<p class=\"css-exrw3m evys1bk0\"><a class=\"css-1g7m0tk\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2018\/12\/10\/world\/asia\/china-protestant-pastor-detained.html?module=inline\">More than 100 members of Early Rain<\/a>, which is based in the southwestern city of Chengdu, were detained on Dec. 9 as part of a continuing crackdown on churches, mosques and temples not registered with the state.
