{"id":84396,"date":"2019-07-31T09:00:09","date_gmt":"2019-07-31T13:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=84396"},"modified":"2019-07-31T05:58:38","modified_gmt":"2019-07-31T09:58:38","slug":"ipe-church-of-england-eyes-private-equity-after-2-6-loss-in-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kendallharmon.net\/?p=84396","title":{"rendered":"(IPE) Church of England eyes private equity after 2.6% loss in 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Poor performance across all markets during 2018, particularly the last quarter, meant the \u00a32.4bn (\u20ac2.6bn) Church of England Pensions Board (CEPB) slumped to a 2.6% investment loss for the year.<\/p>\n<p>The loss was published in the board\u2019s annual report this morning, and compared with a 9.4% gain in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>CEPB\u2019s public equities allocation lost 6.9%, and the board \u2013 which runs assets on behalf of four church pension schemes \u2013 cut its exposure to 65% of its \u00a32bn return-seeking portfolio.
