David Wilson, president of the Standing Committee and rector of St. David&#8217;s in Peters.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s not going to make a whole lot of difference. We have not looked forward to this day, but we are prepared for it&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>The Rev. James Simons of St. Michael of the Valley, Ligonier, the only member of the Standing Committee opposed to secession, agreed.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m saddened by it,&#8221; he said of the bishops&#8217; vote. &#8220;I think it&#8217;s unfortunate that this has happened. The bishops should have waited until after the vote takes place at the diocesan convention. I suspect this will encourage people to vote for realignment.
