Faced with so many unknowns, British evangelicals are trying to remain focused on things that don\u2019t change.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is essentially important our attitude to each other remains fueled by love,\u201d Webster said. \u201cAs Brexit stumbles towards actually happening, evangelicals should not lose sight of loving our neighbor.\u201d<\/p>\n
In the end, the question of \u201chow to Brexit like a Christian\u201d has as many possible answers as the question of \u201chow to Brexit\u201d at all. Friendships have been tested, harsh words said, zealous positions taken.<\/p>\n
That is because, John Stevens said, \u201cthere is no specific \u2018biblical\u2019 position on Brexit.\u201d Stevens believes evangelicals have “to speak wisely and model unity-in-disagreement.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThis will no doubt become easier once decisions are made and the uncertainty is ended,\u201d he said. \u201cIn the meantime we need to keep praying for wisdom and grace, and keep trusting the good sovereign purposes of God. Who will win? At this point God knows. And that is the only true comfort.\u201d<\/p>\n
