In 2018, a Fort Worth Appeals Court agreed and sided <a href=\"http:\/\/www.star-telegram.com\/latest-news\/article208170879.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow noopener\">with the group that remained loyal to the national church<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/DocketPDF\/20\/20-534\/158049\/20201019092008531_2020-10-19%20All%20Saints%20Cert%20Petition%20FINAL.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"Follow noopener\">Texas Supreme Court reversed the decision in May and ruled that Texas law allows a trust to be revoked,<\/a> and Texas law supersedes canon law. The opinions also differed because the Texas Supreme Court applied the law as if the church were a corporation.<\/p>\n<p>The Rev.
