    I feel bad for Uruguay. With only 3.5 million people to draw from, they were gutsy and good. But, in the end, the bald-headed Dutch guys were too much for them.

    Nederland are not exactly a huge nation, with 16 million. My wife’s aunts and cousins were in the immense crowds at Amsterdam and Eindhoven — all rivalry between Ajax and PSV forgot — and Catlijne says the media report nearly 14 million viewers of the match … meaning just about everyone over age 5.
