A prayer for the feast day for Saint Edwin, first Christian king of the Northumbrians

O God, our heavenly Father, who didst raise up thy faithful servant Edwin to be King of Northumbria and to to bring the Christian faith to that fair land, and later gave his life for that same faith, grant us grace to be inspired by his faithful example of being your witness to the end; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
