Way to go, Brother Troy! And here J.B. and company were saying pre-game that Troy doesn’t score when he picks off a pass.
For those who don’t know, Troy is a convert to Greek Orthodoxy. He states that during the season, he, his wife Theodora, and their infant son attend Divine Liturgy together every Tuesday at a monastery in the Pittsburgh area.
Well, at least this half of my household is supremely happy, and very hoarse! We were really hoping for a PA Bowl, but the Eagles just couldn’t do the job.
I’m praying that Hines Ward has the chance to heal and hit the field in Tampa and that Clark didn’t receive any serious damage in his head-on collision with McGahee. The interception by Troy P. was unbelievable!
Fear the Steelers. Clark is a big hitter, just ask Wes Welker. I heard McGahee was released from the hospital this morning with nothing more than a huge headache from Clark’s legal hit.
I didn’t have any vested interest in the outcome of the game – I didn’t even watch, actually. But watching the replays of the hit, it sure looked to me like Clark launched himself, helmet-down, at McGahee. That’s a much easier determination to make after the fact, with the benefit of slow-mo replay. Just because the refs miss it doesn’t make it legal.
Here we go!
Troy’s my boy! Knew they could do it!
Black & Gold forever, baby!

And I hope McGahee didn’t suffer any permanent injury from Clark’s illegal hit.

Nevin,

This play will be reviewed by the NFL. We’ll find out in a few days what they think. I’m betting they will clear Clark on this play.
