A Huge Weekend

Today is the South Carolina Episcopal election, with only Mark Lawrence on the ballot.

I will not be there.

My mother’s memorial service is tomorrow and the whole family is travelling today to be with my Dad, my brother, and the family for this important event. After that next week I am on vacation. Blogging will therefore go down. Thanks very much for your prayers and your support–KSH.

Update: We are going here which is where Dad lives (just off campus) and where I grew up going every summer.

May the Lord be with those voting at DioSC, not so much for the unopposed election but giving them wisdom & strength for the process that this begins and may the Lord be in that as well.

Please Lord comfort the whole Harmon family in this time of grief, may they draw their strength and comfort from you and your promises.

I ask in the name of the Father, Son and Spirit, please use both these events for Your glory’s sake.

It is a beautiful place, Kendall. May God’s loving arms surround you all as you celebrate your Mother’s life. I am sure it will be a time of sweet sadness and I pray the love and the presence of your friends and family will comfort your hearts. We send a special prayer for your Dad that he will be filled with the love of God as he is flooded with memories.

    Kendall,
May God’s blessing be on you and your family.

I spent a lot of time during the 1950s and 1960s at a camp on Lake George just north of Silver Bay. It’s a truly beautiful part of the lake.

In the Spring, we used to catch some really big steelhead trout in Hague Brook and Trout Brook was good fishing during the rest of the season.
