Nice headline, except for those of us who live and work in the Washington DC area. I suppose you are suggesting we should be willing to sacrifice for some greater good and be happy for Detroit?
The Cowboys won. The Lions won. The Cowboys won. The Redskins lost. The Cowboys won. The Steelers lost. Not a perfect weekend. The Giants and Eagles could have both lost as well, but we can’t expect everything. All in all, it was still a most acceptable outcome.
I am sure it must be discouraging for redskins fans #1. But it sure was nice to see grown men cry on the football field, and if the roles were reversed, would you not at least be able to say you were glad a team on such a losing streak had finally won?
Hey Redskin fans …. you get to get healthy this weekend, the hapless Buccaneers will be arriving by Greyhound Bus any minute. They are so sorry, Southwest won’t charter for them anymore (just kidding)!

That’s not really the mood here.

Wish I was kidding about the hapless part.
