    I had one of those. It broke quickly. Neither spin, nor hot pepper, will stop squirrels from eating bird seed for very long. The only effective system is my husband with a beebee gun.

    We have a feeder that closes under the weight of the squirrel. It has helped. We have fewer squirrels.

    Ah, drjoan, I had one of those too. A night animal, either a raccoon or an opossum, literally clawed through the metal.
