The US will impose new sanctions on North Korea, following the crisis over the sinking of a South Korean warship.
The move was announced by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton during a visit to South Korea.
She said the measures would target Pyongyang’s sale and purchase of arms and import of luxury goods, and would help prevent nuclear proliferation.
Oh good. Another round of totally ineffective sanctions.
The sanctions may be effective, but the media coverage of this will only further drive the Cathedral deeper into a hole, in terms of loss of membership and revenues. For some reason leaders of institutions made up of volunteer members seem to think that they are dealing with a stable situation, when in the modern day especially things could barely be more fluid.
#2 – Just as long as the Cathedral doesn’t get WMDs….
