O everlasting God, who hast ordained and constituted the ministries of angels and men in a wonderful order: Mercifully grant that, as thy holy angels always serve and worship thee in heaven, so by thy appointment they may help and defend us on earth; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Again, thank you for this. This really set me thinking and inspired prayer in me. I had never considered praying [i]for[/i] the angels that aid us. ( I feel like an idiot for not doing so.) I have prayed and asked God to send them to help us, etc. I have even thanked God for them and commended them and their service to us before the LORD. But I had never considered praying for them and their needs, wants, and desires or for their help and sustainment. It honestly hadn’t occurred to me that I could/should pray [i]for them[/i] , that the LORD would aid them and give them strength, etc. This simple prayer that you provided is an amazing revelation to me.
