I dunnio. Why do I find this so interesting? After all, this is just an eagle doing, frequently, nothing at all. But I love watching him or her (howq do you tell the difference?) because it is real. Eagles themselves are fascinating and handsome, a nesting eagle is as fascinating as any nesting bird, and I suppose I will there when the eggs start to hatch. Still, I check on her several times a day. I sit and watch the wind ruffle her feathers, watch her adjust the eggs, relocate bits and pieces of nest.Completely quotidien, life as it really is, no cell phones or bluetooths, no meltdowns, no mortgages, no protests, just life getting on with itself as it was designed to do, if I may put it this way, keeping the faith. You know, now that I have written that phrase, maybe THIS is why I watch. Larry

In a sad update, it appears that the mother may have been killed. We are watching to see if the father will be able to care for the baby eagles.
