Where the air quality was good, higher tax would be imposed on home properties; polluted areas, lower tax. Given that the government had (in all seriousness) proposed not long ago to increase property taxes on homes with stunning views, this spoof was all too plausible … and all the more fun for that. However, sometimes reality overtakes hoax. What can we say about a European Union plan to ban all petrol or diesel driven vehicles from urban centres?
