(AP) — A prosecutor has dropped charges against a woman who was arrested for staring at and making faces at a police dog Hutchinson, 33, of Lebanon, N.H., was charged with cruelty to a police animal she approached Protzman’s cruiser, where his dog Max was waiting, putting her face within inches of the window and “staring at him in a taunting/harassing manner,” Protzman wrote in an affidavit

How would you like to be the DA that got this one? No wonder they dropped it. Then the officer probably knew that and made his point with the citation. Pardon the pun but it’s a strange tale.
Maybe the officer couldn’t face the matter properly?
I suspect that PETA will however, file a friend of the court brief to bring the case back onto the docket.
I can see why Vermont wants to secede from the Union. They do live in a unique universe. They have one redeeming quality, however: they make wonderful marble tombstones.
