    Mark Lawrence is on this.

Good to see. This is consistent with the Global South primates in April 2010 inviting ++Duncan of ACNA and +Howe and +Lawrence of TEC to take communion with them.

Although the orthodox primates have declared themselves in impaired communion with TEC, their goal remains to revive and nurture orthodox Anglicanism wherever it is to be found, in TEC or ACNA (and I note that some continuum groups were at the Jerusalem conference in 2008, so I doubt the door is closed to them either).

  3. c.r.seitz says:

++John Chew worked very closely with ACI over the past decade, and so the invitations you mention, on behalf of Communion Partners bishops and clergy (including Chuck Alley+). I don’t believe Gafcon issued any invitations this time beyond +SC.

  4. periwinkle says:

Too bad there the Diocese of Dallas has no representation here.

  5. c.r.seitz says:

PS–I gather from comments on other threads that ‘AMiA’ (in its various forms) is represented at London, thanks to invitations.

  6. c.r.seitz says:

    From SF:

“I would also add Bp. Minns, Dobbs, Orji, and Jones to that list from CANA. ” — I assumed that “Jones” was the AMiA Bishop but could well be wrong. I don’t track closely enough the various permutations of ACNA/AMiA/CANA.

  8. Karen B. says:

#7, it was there yesterday. Just a short (<1 minute) shot of delegates arriving and meeting & greeting each other. You didn't miss much. Maybe it's somewhere on the FCA website?

#8 Thanks, Oh well. I did go to the GAFCON website. I did see the keynote address- very good.

#8Karen B. Thanks, I found it on the GAFCON website. You are right-just a slideshow of pictures.

“In addition to the election of Julian Dobbs and Felix Orji, the Church of Nigeria announced that it would receive the Rt. Rev’d Derek Jones as a suffragan bishop. Bishop Jones is already a suffragan bishop in the ACNA College of Bishops.” — from the CANA website.
No, I do not think AMIA is represented due to its recent problems. Congo is not a GAFCON province, and the aid that the Archbishop of Kenya extended to +Murphy to reconcile with Rwanda ultimately failed. Therefore, and rightly so, I do not believe AMIA is represented.

  12. MichaelA says:

Periwinkle, I do not know if AMiA will be represented, but I believe it will be discussed. The Primate of Congo’s recent letter to +Murphy seems to be saying that the Primate and all of his bishops will be at this Gafcon meeting (even though Congo is not a “Gafcon province”) and will be discussing the issue of AMiA with the Primate and bishops of Rwanda.

I suppose it is possible that by “meeting together in UK”, ++Isingoma was referring to some meeting to take place after the Gafcon meeting, but that seems unlikely.

++Isingoma’s letter to +Murphy only refers to granting “temporary” oversight to the AM, until these discussions can take place.
