A bit late for this comment but here it is anyway. Perhaps Kendall might enjoy it. Many many years ago – over 40 years ago – I was visiting New College chapel with a friend. We found ourselves alone there. We both had reasonable voices and decided to test the acoustics so we sang some Taize chants in Latin. As we left the chapel we found a line of tourists waiting patiently. Was the service over, the guide inquired politely. My friend and I looked at each other and fled.
If I I remember correctly the chapel used to have an El Greco. Is it still there, I wonder, or has it been sold off.
