Hamas Takes Over Securities headquarters amidst an upsurge in Fighting

from the Jerusalem Post:

At least 25 Palestinians were killed and 80 were wounded as Hamas fighters overran two of Fatah’s most important security installations in the Gaza Strip on Thursday. Witnesses said the victors dragged vanquished gunmen from the building and shot them to death gangland-style in the street in front of their families.

The headquarters of the General Security Service, commanded by Ramallah-based General Tawfik Tirawi, fell to Hamas gunmen. Hamas said documents it found there prove that the Fatah-affiliated security apparatus has close ties with the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). Hamas said it would show the documents on television in the coming hours.

Elsewhere, the capture of the Preventive Security headquarters was a major step forward in Hamas’s attempts to complete its takeover of all of Gaza. Hamas followed up that victory by demanding Fatah surrender another key security installation.

The Religion of Peace triumphs again.

The killers ignored appeals from residents to spare the men’s lives, said Amjad, who declined to give his full name, fearing reprisal. …

“We are telling our people that the past era has ended and will not return,” Islam Shahawan, a spokesman for Hamas’ militia, told Hamas radio. “The era of justice and Islamic rule have arrived.”

“Palestine” was always a bogus concept, kept alive by the stupidity of the UNHCR and its camps for ‘refugees’ 60 years on – with terrible consequences for Lebanon. 15 years ago in Jerusalem an American-born Israeli rabbi said to me and a bunch of skeptical Anglicans that any ‘Palestinian’ state would be an Islamic fundamentalism show. I thought he was making excuses but no longer. There is no hope for Christians in that nightmare, and Gaza makes no sense as a ‘statelet’. It should be rejoined to Egypt who occupied it 1948-67. The alternative is for it to become – as it already is – a den for Al Qaeda and their partners in terror.

Well folks, with Hamas in complete control of Gaza, I can imagine a few things will now occur.

    1) Al Fatah remnants will be killed or driven out.
    2) Rocket fire will begin in earnest, against So. Israel.
    3) Hezbollah up in Lebanon, will begin to rattle their brand new arsenal of guided missiles, supplied to them by Iran via Syria.
    4) The Israeli government will try to get world help to prevent the 2 front assault that will be building.
    5) The rest of the world will, as per normal procedure, lift their middle fingers at Israel’s pleas. They are of course afraid to interupt the flow of Irani oil and after all, the Israelis are just Jews.
    6) Because of a lack of will in the west to control the maniacs of Hamas, Hezbollah & Iran, Israel will have to go into a two-front war this summer.
    7) It will be a bloody war for both sides, but the Israelis will emerge intact and victorious.
    8) The rest of the world, led by the UN, WCC, TEC, CAIR, etc., will all roundly condemn Israel for still breathing.
    9) The dems in the US Senate & House, will try to float a declaration, condemning Israel and calling on them to help the Palestinians to rebuild their nests.

    It’s all so predictable.

The good news in all this though, is that Israel has a new Defence Minister, who was himself a chief of staff in the IDF and a past PM.
They have a new command structure in place, able to act in a cogent manner.

The Israeli street is fully fedup with the quislings of their own left.

Can you hear the firing squads now in both halves of the “PA”? If you never watched all of the movie “The Godfather”, you might tonight as a warm up for the news over the next week.

It looks like the people who “never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity” just missed another opportunity.

Here’s a dismal hypothesis: Just as some individuals, because of insanity or mental retardation, cannot govern their own affairs, so perhaps an entire culture, because of their (violent) philosophy and (false) religion, are incapable of governing their society in a humane & democratic fashion.

Please go to Ruth Gledhill’s blog and watch the video of Benjamin Netenyahu speak against a boycott of Israel by British academia. A very powerful speaker. Apparently, the post goes against the PC crowd and Ms. Gledhill has taken some heat for it.

    10) Jimmy Carter will rail against the Bush Administration for not doing more to help the peace process, condmening the Israeli leadership as ‘warmongers’.
