Wasn’t able to watch the game, so just spent some down time browsing the ads.

This elf’s two favorites: Planters’ Unibrow,” and the Bridgestone “scream” ad. Runners’ up: E-trade’s “Puking Baby”; Bud Light’s “Fire”. Obviously we went for humor. But very much liked the two ads Kendall has highlighted as well — more along the lines of “sentimental favorites” — and both really nicely done. The Clydesdales ads are always great. I still get chills thinking about the post Sept 11th Clydsedale ad. (Info and a clip here: http://www.snopes.com/rumors/tributes/budweiser.asp)

The most effective ad, hands down, had to be Tide’s “Talking Stain” ad, however. Made me want to go out and get one of those Tide pens ASAP!

I loved the Baby Commercials for ETrade. They just get funnier and funnier. And don’t underestimate the creepiness of clowns. Or spit up.

Well, since my husband is an Anhouser Busch retiree, the Clydesdales win out all the time for me.

ps: to the Elves, those pens don’t work all that great, I gave in to the advertising too, and they do leave a “clorine” smell..

I’m with the Elves on the “unibrow.” What a hoot!
