It is interesting to note that one of the early options discussed between Zionists and the British Government for a Jewish homeland was Uganda. Uganda is blessed with a relatively mild climate and good agricultural conditions. It is tempting to speculate about what the industry, discipline, and dedication of the Jewish settlers in Palestine could have done for Uganda, and, by example, for Africa.
