A BBC Radio Four Sunday Programme at the Lambeth Conferece

You need to listen to it all, of special interest is the last segment which features a three way panel consisting of Archbishop Drexel Gomez of the West Indies, Bishop Stacy Sauls of the Episcopal Church, and Bishop Clive Handford, former Presiding Bishop of Jerusalem and the Middle East and Bishop of Cyprus and the Gulf, from the Windsor Continuation Group.

Ok, Kendall, I listened to it all, especially the last part. What comes across is the incredible spin presented by Bishop Robinson and Bishop Sauls….simply amazing.

Robinson describes those who oppose his agenda as bullies who will never be satisfied unless they get everything they demand. Now, simply taking a look at the extreme revisionists position in the EC this sounds like Robinson and Jeffert Schori….The pot calling the kettle black. They are the ones saying our way or the highway!

I am also tired of TEC’s description of boundary crossing because of their persecution of Traditionalists as incursion by faithful Primates and bishops of the rest of the Anglican Communion. These actions are in response to TEC’s actions of abuse. They are a rescue operation and once again are a response and when they are no longer necessary they will stop….until then they will continue.

Tired of the so-called double standard referred to by Bishop Sauls….the safe place for traditionalists but not for gay and lesbians persons. Wow, the spin is on. No doubt about it.

Finally, I was disappointed by Archbishop Gomez’s remarks. He seems to be following the talking points of Archbishop Williams and TEC that it is all about relationships if we will just keep talking it will all work out.

This is soooo unrealistic, but it is what the ABC and TEC want….for if this continues then their bullying tactics will win the day and that’s what the PB and most bishops in the EC want……

All is well even if it isn’t.

Let’s be clear, the rescue operation will continue unabated because Bishops of TEC are quite dishonest. There is no moratoria on ss blessings and it is only a matter of time before another openly active homosexual person is elected as a bishop in the EC.

All will continue as it was before Lambeth.

Well, +Sauls didn’t keep the gloves on, did he? Lots of spin, but didn’t leave ++Gomez unbruised. Hard to imagine any rapprochement in future with this kind of lovin’ going on!
