I read the account of this grisly, ghastly event. I can only imagine the almost disbelieving horror which must be running through the hearts and minds of the victims’ family and loved ones. God of mercy, please tend to the hearts of the ones left to deal with the aftermath of this evil occurrence. Through Jesus Christ I pray. Amen.

I’m sorry, I think this context for the item is really inappropriate and I really hope you’ll remove it

There are the other passengers to think of too.

Several threads on this board have dealt with Second Amendment issues, i.e. the right to possess and to carry firearms. There is usually a strident contingent who suggests that those who legally own and legally carry firearms are somehow unsafe and make those around less safe.

I have two comments. One, I expect to see those individuals now calling for a ban on (or at least regulation of) kitchen knives. Two, I humbly suggest that if that bus had been traveling through California and I had been on it, I (or another law abiding citizen) would have been able to stop that horrific crime with my legally carried and fully licensed handgun.

Actually, the UK has banned the carrying of such knives, and indeed the purchase of any blade by under-18s.

I think the current rate of fatal stabbings among that age group in London is about 21 this year alone.
