I am seeing +John Guernsey, +Bill Murdoch, etc. waving their hands singing “Days of Elijah.”

These people are not ashamed of the Gospel.

Bp Duncan quotes St. Augustine: Singing is to pray twice.

  2. Todd Granger says:

And the Presiding Bishop of the Reformed Episcopal Church made the sign of the cross over himself at the end of the Nicene Creed!

By the way, with the inclusion of the Reformed Episcopal Church and the Anglican Province of American in the new provincial structure, these Anglicans in the CCP/New Province (and the Church of Nigeria by an earlier concordat with these two separated churches) are now the only Anglicans living faithfully into not only Resolution I.10 of the 1998 Lambeth Conference, but also Resolution IV.11, on the “‘Continuing’ Churches”:

    [blockquote]This Conference:

    1. believes that important questions are posed by the emergence of groups who call themselves ‘continuing Anglican Churches’ which have separated from the Anglican Communion in recent years; and
    2. asks the Archbishop of Canterbury and the Primates’ Meeting to consider how best to initiate and maintain dialogue with such groups with a view to the reconciliation of all who own the Anglican tradition. [/blockquote]

  3. Dilbertnomore says:

Todd, the Anglican Province of America is not a part of the new province at this time. You can find the details at
    http://anglicanprovince.org/2008 Prov Synod/Bishop Grundorf address 2008 Prov Synod.pdf
    beginning on page 3.

Perhaps in the future, but not yet.

  4. Todd Granger says:

    Thanks, Dilbertnomore. Alas.
