Stephen Arscott Named Diocesan Lay Coordinator for Cursillo
Stephen Arscott, a member of Holy Comforter, Sumter has become the new Diocesan Lay Coordinator (DLC) for our diocesan Cursillo community. Stephen’s Cursillo journey began at Cursillo 170 in the summer of 2013, which he attended with his wife, Melissa. Since then, Cursillo has been an important part of their lives and their walk with Christ. Over the years, Stephen has served in numerous roles on Cursillo teams and committees, including serving as Ultreya Rector for Santee and, most recently, leading Cursillo 191. Stephen received his BS in Business Administration from the College of Charleston. In 2006 he purchased Sumter Lighting and Home, a residential lighting and home decor business. He and Melissa have three adult children. In a wonderful Cursillo connection, Stephen’s priest, the Rev. David Booman, was actually his roommate at Cursillo 170! Read the announcement.
