Crowds of thousands swept into the streets of cities around the Middle East on Sunday to denounce Israel’s air assault on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
From Lebanon to Iran, Israel’s adversaries used the weekend assault to marshal crowds into the streets for noisy demonstrations. And among regional allies there was also discontent: The prime minister of Turkey, one of the few Muslim countries to have relations with Israel, called the air assault a ”crime against humanity.”
Several of Sunday’s protests turned violent. A crowd of anti-Israel protesters in the northern Iraqi city of Mosul became a target for a suicide bomber on a bicycle.
The above AP comments follow the liberal line espoused by most of the MSM – poor poor Gaza. In fact, the IDF ( Israeli Defense Force ) and the IAF ( Israeli Air Force ) are acting in a self-defense posture designed to stop Hamas terrorists in their tracks. The IDF destroyed in in the first four minutes flat at leart 40 tunnels used by Hamas to bring in rockets provided by Iran, which Hamas has been firing on a daily basis at southern Israel. Israel attacked in daylight because they wanted to kill as many of the Hamas leaders as they could while they were at work. Israel is not messing around. Maybe Israel will use this as an excuse for a pre-emptive strike against Iran.

The bible is not neutral or silent on Israel. Beware those who oppose her and do not support her. This is the only country that has the courage to do the right thing and stand up to the bullying of the Islamc world. May God bless Israel and those who support her.
Where was this outcry against Hamas for breaking the ceasefire and deliberately attacking Israeli civilians with morters and Kasam rockets? Where is the outrage against Hamas for locating military stockpiles and other military complexes amidst the civilian population? Where is the outrage against Hamas for their refusal to abandon their pledge to destroy Israel?
Intentional commingling of military forces among the civilian population is a war crime. The UN should be looking to prosecute the Hamas leadership responsible.

Outstanding performance by the IAF F-16s and Apache attack helicopters, with reported 95% successful ordnance on target, presumably mostly or all PGMs against semi-hard points. Just superb. Looking forward to more details on the ground penetrators that took out the tunnels along the Gaza-Egypt border. Reading the details on the formulation of Operation Cast Lead, looks like it was well-planned and is being well-executed. This kind of coordinated action is very difficult to accomplish; kudos to all involved.
Egypt guns down civilians fleeing the violence, and the outrage can’t be found.

Palestinians reported that “several people were wounded by the gunfire” ….. the term “gunned down” was not used. Outrage against whom, Mr. Manley ? Certainly not the Israelis.
This may be the preamble to the Israeli bombing of Iran’s nuclear capability, using a Gulf of Tonkin-type excuse, with a plan already orchestrated and apparently practiced earlier this year with the US, allowing Israeli planes to take off from Iraq airspace ( after flying in over Jordan at night ) – it’s a 5-minute flight. Plus, if it’s gonna be done, now’s the time and Israel’s is the air force.
Israel has F-22 stealth planes.
I have no doubt that Hamas are a thoroughly bad bunch, but as I look at this sad situation which is merely the latest chapter in a tit-for-tat conflict that has been going on for most of my life (I was born in 1945), I have to question Israel’s wisdom. It has to be pointed out that there is a certain insanity in doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome — and it seems that this is the course that is being pursued by each contending party. Such ferocity begets ferocity, and in such a cycle of violence there is little hope of security for any of the parties involved, the only outcome in the long-term will be further tragedy. However, I see little hope of wise heads prevailing on either side.

I would sincerely question Hama’s wisdom moreso. In the past even Americans have fired back when fired upon (As the British learned to their sorrow at and before 1776 AD).
