    “return once every five generations”

What an engineering marvel! How does God place the information within a single cell to be transfered to the next generation?

With awe I am forced to review in Scripture the time that some came to Jesus wanting Him to prove Himself by some miracle. How infinitely foolish must Jesus view of those people must have been, for miracles abound around us every minute! We are His workmanship and the most broken among us are a miracle beyond our comprehension!

The generations hatched in the US and Canada each live about one month. Then, the fifth generation lives for about 8 months, flies all the way to central Mexico and all the way back to our Gulf coast, both trips over hundreds of miles of open water. They can feed on only one plant (milkweed) and must store enough energy for the trans-Gulf flight in a body weighing less than an ounce.

This is so amazing that only God can explain it. Darwin did not know about this biological feat, but he would not have had a clue about how it happens. I see evolution providing no reason or explanation for it.

I suppose some atheistic evolutionist such as Richard Dawkins would say the monarchs’ return is the result of random chance…

I love Monarchs. They are at some risk these days since milkweed plants are routinely destroyed by farmers and other development projects. Every year I grow milkweed and try to get the caterpillars to grow and survive to butterflies. It’s so cool to watch the whole cycle and include my kids. God is to be praised for creating such beauty and wonder for us to enjoy.

    Another thing Darwin can’t explain.
