Kevin Kallsen has posted a nice set of pictures from the Network Council meetings.

Video stream archives can be found here: http://ustream.tv/channel/acn-council-meeting-2007
See: “Past Clips” — recommended: last night’s press conference (2nd clip from left); Venables III (3rd clip from left).
Imagine the better quality MP3 recordings will be posted at Anglican TV within a few days.
Note, yesterday’s “Open Thread” on the Network Council has a lot of info and links in its comment thread, including identification of the bishops in the press conference, etc. http://new.kendallharmon.net/wp-content/uploads/index.php/t19/article/4758
UPDATE: We’re playing “name that bishop” — need some help with 2-3 bishops. Input welcome

Early good morning elves…for those of us not in the know, who were the bishops at the press conference tonight. I recognize Iker, Duncan and Ackerman (I think) but not the others. Thank you for all of the great work you do.
Carol and all, I posted that info last night in yesterday’s open thread.
http://new.kendallharmon.net/wp-content/uploads/index.php/t19/article/4758
FYI press conference participants.
From right (viewers’ right):
+Ackerman (Quincy)
Thompson+ Dean of Western Convocation
+Duncan
+Sutton (REC Bishop)
+Iker (Fort Worth)
++Venables (Primate, Southern Cone)
The Open thread has quite a lot of info and links to various news items and press releases in the comments, so worth a skim if you need info.
Thanks for your encouragement, glad to be able to help
It was quite helpful to have the names of the participants (bishops and priest) at Kevin’s press conference. But many other bishops showed up at the photo op (see link), among whom I recognize some and not others. The most nagging are the faces I recognize that I am unable to put a name to.
Br_er, I doubt I can name them all, but here’s an attempt (gee, this brings back memories of the “name that primate game” from Dromantine, Feb 2005!)
I would welcome input from others!
First, go here:

Look at thumbnail 13 of all the seated bishops

[I’ve erased my original id attempt as I had a 2 bishops incorrectly identified. Barbara has the correct info below:
http://new.kendallharmon.net/wp-content/uploads/index.php/t19/article/4780/#88199%5D
This would suggest that absent Network bishops were:
+Howe (Central Florida, he is on a several week study leave in England, I believe)
+Beckwith, Springfield
+Salmon of South Carolina (no one from SC was present)
The picture of the Network Convocation deans is here:

Anyone want to help with these ids?
I am positive of Guernsey (far right), and McCaslin (2nd from left), but not sure I can correctly id. the other 3 (Thompson, Murdoch, Smart) as to which is which
George Conger ID’s the bishops on his website (http://geoconger.wordpress.com/)
Front Row: (from left)
Jon-David Schofield, San Joaquin; Jack Iker, Forth Worth: Bill Cox, Southern Cone/Asst. Oklahoma rt; Gregory Venables, Primate Southern Cone; Robt Duncan, Pittsburgh; William Wantland, Eau Claire rt; Keith Ackerman, Quincy.
Second Row: (from left)
James Stanton, Dallas; William Ilgenfritz, Forward in Faith bishop elect; Bill Atwood, suffragan bishop elect of All Saints Diocese Kenya; Bishop Ray Sutton, Reformed Episcopal Church; John Guernsey, suffragan bishop elect of Uganda; Richard Boyce, Anglican Province of America; Jeffrey Steenson, Rio Grande; Don Harvey, Western Newfoundland rt; David Bena, suffragan Albany rt/Asst Bishop Cana; James Adams, Western Kansas; William Love, Albany
THANK YOU BARBARA! I had several bishops wrong. Much appreciate the correct info via George Conger. Excellent.
The Network Deans from left to right: Smart, McCaslin, Ilgenfritz, Thompson, and Guernsey at the podium. Murdoch is absent. Their comments at the meeting can be found at http://ustream.tv/channel/acn-council-meeting-2007. Click on the 5th clip from the left and move the slider to about 24 minutes into it. Many of their comments are quite poignant as they speak of ministering to the lost, isolated, and evicted.
Three of the Deans are bishops-elect: Guernsey, Murdoch and Ilgenfritz.
Thank you Elves, I did remember reading it last night, but I couldn’t find it when I tried to go back to it. I appreciate your help.
Carol
No problem, Carol. We had the info in the top level post for awhile when the live stream was of the press conference. Then, when the stream moved on to Kevin’s Anglican Report with George Conger, we moved the info down to the comments… probably why you couldn’t find it!
Nice to see +John-David there! What a blessing!
