Mine That Bird, a 50-1 Shot, Surges to Kentucky Derby Victory

In the second-biggest upset in Kentucky Derby history, Mine That Bird, a 50-1 shot, ran away from the field along the rail down the stretch to win by six and three-quarter lengths Saturday.

    I thought it was great the first time Borel won on Street Sense. Now he’s done it again, with pretty much the same strategy–good for him.

    The gelding will have to earn his keep on the track since stud fees are out of the question.

    They could always clone Mine That Bird, then the clone could earn the stud fees.
