But when she rang to make payment arrangements she was told the event could not be held there and – despite already having printed tickets – another venue must be found….

Despite the mantra the media and educational systems cram down the throats of every man, woman, and child, “discrimination” as a word is neither a good nor bad thing. Its how discrimination is used that makes it good or bad. I can discriminate purple from blue colors, that does not make it bad.

In this instance, yes, discrimination is occurring. Does not make it bad just because its happened. We wouldn’t expect a place owned by PETA to rent out their space to the Hog Butchers Association. Its that simple.

  2. Joshua 24:15 says:

Will the British equivalent of NAMBLA be the next to bleat about “discrimination” if the RCs deny them use of the social hall for their annual Paederasts’ Ice Cream Social?

  3. Br. Michael says:

This also sounds like a set up. And 1 is absolutely correct. We all discriminate. I doubt that any one would complain about a black church not renting their parish hall to the KKK.

It looks to me that the whole thing was a setup.

I would have said to them: ‘certainly….but only after you have demonstrated your own non-discrimination by allowing me to come to your coven and perform an exorcism against the pagan spirits I might find there.

Isn’t this one of the Harry Potter books?

    Chris,
nah, that was the LEAKY Cauldron.

I’d have made an exception for Pickettywitch (Polly Brown, ‘Same Old Feeling’, 1970).
I have no respect for “witches” who have to use lawyers. Can’t they just cast a spell? Don’t tell me they’ve gone all soft on newts…

  9. Joshua 24:15 says:

    “How d’ye know she’s a witch?”

“Because she turned me into a newt!…well, I got better…”
