Oh my. To me the English team had no electricity. Ugh–KSH.
It was horrid. I’ve been reading that the team is just not doing well with the formation that the coach is forcing. You can see it on their faces — frustration and tension. As one of the commentators said, you can tell that they’re not having one bit of fun out there. They’re overly cautious and hesitant. It’s a shame — all of that talent not utilized.
On the other side, Algeria looked a lot better than their ranking would indicate. They’re going to give the U.S. a run for their money.
Kendall and others, the word used over and over again in the media here in London is ‘lacklustre’. There is also considerable discussion over the fact that the England team were booed at the end by England fans – to the manifest fury of Wayne Rooney. Much more of this kind of performance and the team will soon be on their way home.
