In the End A Sort of Quietness

I hope no one who reads this book has been quite as miserable as Susan and Lucy were that night; but if you have been”“if you’ve been up all night and cried till you have no more tears left in you”“you will know that there comes in the end a sort of quietness. You feel as if nothing was ever going to happen again.

”“C.S. Lewis (1898-1963)

  1. Br. Michael says:

How do you trust God when there is no more faith and hope. Jesus is dead. Just another failed messiah and now one of the many crucified by the Romans. We even know where he is buried. And his teachings? Who can believe anything he said? Failed messiahs lie and everything they said must be a lie. There is nothing left, nothing.
