Due to a total loss of power and heavy flooding the area, the Cranford Police Department has been evacuated. Police Chief Eric Mason, who is serving as the emergency management coordinator, was unavaiable to talk to the media regarding the evacuation.
My stepfather lives in Cranford, NJ but he is one of the few not in the flood zone. He told me 90% of the town is in a flood zone. He was trying to explain to me how he made it to work the morning after the hurricane, but until I saw the pictures I didn’t quite understand the magnitude of the flooding. So very sad.
It stinks anywhere but this really stinks because Cranford is a nice town. My former, massively talented H.S. choirmaster was from there.
