my college St. Lawrence is in the same conference with RPI (where Joe attended). I got to see him play back in the 80s, he was an impressive force. More importantly, hockey players in general are the most down to earth guys you will meet, so it’s not so surprising to see what Joe is doing these days. Mark Messier has a house near me and he introduced himself to me (instead of the other way around) when we were at a parade. Imagine that from a baseball or basketball star….
