We don’t need “adaptive change” or any other sort of faddish progressive “new think” type of approach to managing the Body of Christ.
What we do need is for Anglicans in North America to emphasize, re-emphasize and reiterate the preaching of the preaching of “…the Faith once given….”
Where the Roman Church has done this, it has produced very positive results.
So let our motto be,
“Out with the new and back to the old.”

Ms Anderson did get part of the Money problem right when she acknowledged Members lost. For 2002 through 2008 Plate & Pledge increased 10.3 percent despite the losses in Members and ASA, thanks to a robust economy. BUT, the silent tax of inflation reduced this gain to a 5.1 percent LOSS in Real P & P. Then for 2008 through 2010 Plate & Pledge declined by 3.9 percent given ASA/Member losses and a LOUSY economy and inflation further reduced Real P & P for a decline of 7.9 percent. Thus, real P & P declined more in two years than it did in seven years, thanks to the sputtering “recovery”. The Money problem is here to stay until, if and when, the “recovery” becomes real. Reads to me like “we’ve got to downsize and make sure we don’t spend the remaining money so quickly” with a lot of pious-sounding window dressing added in.
Let us thin what would happen in the business world if a company went through the decline in costomers, sales, corporate image etc that TEC has endured for the past decade and more.
First all senior execs would be fired and new team would be brought in from outside the organization. Most middle management would be replaced. Non essential assets would be sold off. The company would focus on its main product and let go all other non essential products or non productive products. If good results were not in evidence from these changes in 3-5 years then the shakedown process would begin again.
Any chance that this might happen in TEC?
