If I heard the announcement correctly, the vote on the three amendments was as follows:
clergy 88 present, 72 yes, 12 no
laity 113 present, 103 yes, 10 no

This is an event of historic proportion. Truly historic.
The orthodox Anglicans of San Joaquin who adhere “the Faith once given,” and to episcopal order have, by taking this action, asserted that ECUSA does not adhere to “the Faith once given” and has misused the episcopal canons of ECUSA and the Church Catholic.
wow
we will see what happens now. This is historic. May God be glorified by all we do!
Although it’s a small diocese, with only 47 congregations, San Joaquin has indeed taken a very BIG step. It’s a momentous and courageous decision that will go down in history as one of the great turning points in this prolonged struggle. BRAVO!
I was listening to the audio and those were the numbers I heard too. If so, the percentages were well over the two-thirds vote required in both orders.
Clergy, 72 out of 84 votes cast = ca. 86%
Laity, 103 out of 113 votes cast = ca. 90%
The momentum is building. It gives me even greater confidence that nothing less than a New Reformation is underway. Thanks be to God!

By the way, ENS lists the vote tally in the clergy order as 70-12. We’ll try to verify the exact total with diocesan sources and post a correction if needed a bit later.
When the SJ diocese news becomes a lead story on AOL (including a picture of Bishop Scholfield) and there is an article in the Des Moines Register, as Jerry Lee Lewis would sing; “the news is out, all over town”, (line from the song You Win Again by Hank Williams.)
