The Anglican Communion Office’s Director for Communications, Jan Butter, shared with the committee the planned ACC-15 communications resources (videos, news and feature articles, podcasts, etc.) and channels (Social Media, the Anglican Communion News Service, etc.) which he hoped would “allow Anglican Communion members not in Auckland to feel involved in the meeting and related events such as the opening welcoming ceremony.”
The Standing Committee also reviewed and then welcomed a code of conduct concerning discriminatory behaviours, harassment and sexual harassment prepared by Anglican Communion Office staff for use at all official Communion meetings.
Speaking about the code of conduct, Secretary General of the Anglican Communion, Canon Kenneth Kearon said having such a policy was not a response to any particular problem but rather was a “modern reality” and an important move to ensure all attendees and staff felt safe. He added, “We recognise that this document may have to evolve in the light of experience.”

Certainly they might have visa problems. Or perhaps they are not able to attend a meeting with the Presiding Bishop present? Both the Province of Sudan and W. Africa are in impaired communion with TEC.

I think the meeting went well – I am here and the code of conduct issue was well handled – basically it is “be polite, no harassment.” It was a firm but gentle reminder of civility – the need thereof. Sometime I do not feel this when in the same place as certain delegates, so I walk away and busy myself with other people here who are wonderful.
I have had great times with delegates from Kenya and Nigeria. We all know of visa issues and they are saddening. It is my hope that the ACC meetings might better be held in places that are not so “tight” and thus cause problems. Many “minority world” countries are difficult to enter now.
Yes – I am here at the ACC meeting. Aukland is gorgeous.

Is the hierachy’s message that it is civilised to share a Christian platform with Caligula?
no comment re Caligula – there are some wonderful Godly people here. I have just spent a wonderful time with Phil Ashley+ and +Julian Dobbs as well as many others. One of our goals is the continuing encouragement of orthodox and the orthodox leaders who are here, in my case my own bishop of Peru – +Bill Godfrey.
