The tasered guy was an idiot. I saw the video. If bunch of policeman tell me to drop, I am down. The guy was warned not to stand up after being tasered, and he repeatedly stood back up and confronted the police. He is lucky to be alive.
The candidate for Miss Teen America from South Carolina was interviewed the following day on the Today show. I happened to catch it in the OR lounge. She was unpretentious, gracious, and witty. They gave her a second chance to answer the question and she did much better. (Admittedly, it would be very hard not to.)
