There was a review of this book in Time magazine the year it was published which propelled me off the fence of my nominal and inactive Episcopalian complacency. The Hound of Heaven used this unlikely tool and my resulting disgust of those faithless “men of the cloth” to examine the mess of conflicting and diametrically opposed religious ideas floating about my cranium. I thought I was ‘rich’, but found I was desperately poor. Then I [i]knew[/i] – Jesus is LORD. Joy inexpressible! How Romans 8:28 that this piece of work should be used to lead one towards the faith, ha!
