Is there anything worse in sports than a game being decided near or at the very end on a bad call by the referee?
Makes the heart sad.

Kendall, the answer to your question depends upon whether the referee’s call handed your team victory or defeat.
I am sure that is too often the case, Terry, but in numerous cases i would hope not.
I feel the same way about the even worse penalty call in the Stoke City Swansea City game today.
I was pleased to hear Gary Linecker (on NBC Sports Newtwork) describe what happened in the Chelsea game the way I saw it–and he said it was definitely not a penalty.
I would also like the state for the record that the standard for a penalty late into extra time should be the highest ever, it has to be an entirely unambigulous penalty to change a result at that stage of the match.
