I normally root against Tiger (just because you know he’ll win anyway!); but watching him play through that injury was just amazing. I hated to see either of them lose.
[blockquote] Root for Rocco, but bet against Tiger at the peril of your money. He’s a force of nature.

No doubt about that. They had a very interesting segment during the weekend with his father talking about how he brought Tiger up to play. Things like dropping his bag in the middle of his back swing, taking him out during terrible playing conditions, etc. The point? Make him the most mentally disciplined golfer out there. Seems to have worked too! I may root for his rivals at times, but I would NEVER bet against him.
Tiger is a walking, talking highlight reel in real time. Rocco looked completely deflated when he missed that last birdie on 18. It carried over to his tee and fairway shots on the 7th.
However, remember when the PGA disciplined Bobby Jones for throwing his clubs and cussing after bad shots?
I didn’t think so. This ain’t your father’s PGA. But thankfully it’s not an NBA game either. Never sit below the rafters at one of those or your ears will need to go confession.
Still, I do wish the PGA would get back to keeping it clean if they want live TV with hushed announcers.
I’ll take Tiger’s timely crude self-assessment of his shots as long as I don’t have to listen to the whining “its all about me” second guessing of Johnny Miller.
I was rooting for Rocco!

Rocco Mediate was just a class act all week, especially today in his post tournament interview.

Bravo to both Woods and Mediate. The USGA’s decision to keep the 18 hole playoff format sure looks good to me.
I’ll be watching The Golf Channel for the next three days straight!
(BTW: I was rooting for Woods and hoping for a tight match!)
Tiger Woods is practically one continuous G-D and F bomb machine when he’s playing.

Way to go Tiger …. Way to go Rocco
