We in Arizona are still hanging onto first place in our division, and in the recent series in Phoenix took 2 of 3 against the Cubs. Alas, we weren’t as successful at Wrigley…
Iรขโฌโขm wondering if anyone has ever made a comparison between the apparent orthodoxy/heterodoxy of a diocese and their baseball team(s). Of course, some compensation will have to be figured in for the difference between National League (reasserter) and American League (revisionist) style of Baseball.
sophy (#1), as a long suffering Deds and Cubs fan, I wholeheartedly agree with you! The final week in Sept might prove to be (sadly) as long as the entire season. ๐
Let us hope otherwise for the sake of our gracious blog host!

Now come on Stefano, the Red Sox are not revisionist. Scouts honor!
Then how do you explain that DH rule, Old Soldier? ๐
I can not explain the DH rule. Nor can I explain Area 51, the Loch Ness monster, Clinton’s reelection nor any number of other weird things.
Go White Sox!
A conservative Episcopalian and a Cubs fan. Now that’s masochism.
