Dr [Tom] Wright said: “At this stage it is very important that we focus on what Lambeth did and not what what happened eight years ago.”
He said Lambeth had been successful in taking forward the Covenant process and the conference had achieved its objectives.
He said: “People can make political capital out of anything. Lambeth was a great achievement and we must build on that.”
“Lambeth was a great achievement and we must build on that.â€
Hhhmmmm. A great achievement-that didn’t achieve anything.
Fancy that.
It is sad to see these bishops compromise their integrity:
Lambeth was a great achievement. Yeah, right.
He didn’t say gay sex was all right rather, ““I concluded that an active sexual relationship between two people of the same sex might therefore reflect the love of God in a way comparable to marriage, if and only if it had about it the same character of absolute covenanted faithfulness.” Well that’s comforting.

As a physician, my integrity is of inestimable value and I guard it fastidiously. No “white lies” in my office.
Integrity is also of the same value to clergy. It is incomprehensible to me to see Ms Schori throw hers away so cavalierly. It is sad to see +Tom Wright throw his away. Hey, +Tom, where are those pre-Lambeth letters from Rowan? Rowan is not worth it.
