  1. Ralph says:

While I see the points he’s trying to make, I don’t see words like God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, prayer, discernment and so forth. It reads like a detached description of a secularized issue dominated by human will. Perhaps that is now the case. Our Enlightenment brethren would tell us not to worry, since humanity is steadily evolving towards perfection.

What is God trying to do in all of this? Is it that God decided to give the devil a chance to see how strong we really are? Who is really our shepherd? It sure reminds me of Job…

  2. Daniel Lozier says:

#1, I guess that is why our “enlightened brethren” frequently omit the Confession and Absolution from worship services.

  3. AnglicanFirst says:

“The non-negotiable needs to be that any interim arrangement of alternate primatial oversight is acceptable to the parties seeking relief.”

And achieving the above “interim arrangement” requires the good will and the good faith of the revisionists in ECUSA.

Is it a reasonable expectation to anticipate that ECUSA’s revisionist leadership will display such “good will and good faith?”

Is it reasonable for those orthodox Anglicans seeking episcopal relief from the oppression of ECUSA’s revisionists to suspect that a preferred display of “good will and good faith” by ECUSA’s leadership may be nothing more than a Trojan Horse?

  4. Bishop Iker says:

I agree with Dr. Harding’s analysis, and I welcome his proposal. Will the ABC act? Don’t hold your breath.

Excellent analysis, though I think an argument could be made that the window of opportunity has already passed.

  6. A Floridian says:

Over a five year period, it has been proved that TEC will NOT abide by its agreements and the instruments of unity have been subverted by the ABC whose motives are suspect. It is highly unlikely that he will do anything to assist traditional Christianity to survive. He’s been consistently willing to put that baby out in the cold to die.

The last half year has proven that the CoE and British Isles churches are similarly infected with the disease of sexual liberalism.

Forging other unions and ignoring TEC, Canterbury and all is the only credible option.

At this point, seeking protection from proven non-credible sources is more than foolish, it is insanity.
